Our First Tech Talks, as Technical Sponsor of IC‑DAIS 2026

The Charlotte ACM Chapter is a technical sponsor of IC-DAIS 2026, the International Conference on Data Intelligence & Smart Communication, and is hosting its first Tech Talks session on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 11 AM to 4 PM at 10130 Mallard Creek Rd, 3rd Floor, Charlotte, NC. This is our first event since the chapter was chartered in February.

The session runs as part of the wider IC-DAIS 2026 conference (November 7–8, hybrid). Talks span data and AI, smart communication, intelligent computing, security and privacy, and smart applications in areas such as healthcare, energy, and sustainability.

The call for speakers and papers is open. Speaker proposals close October 25, 2026. Details and submission links are on the events page.

Charlotte ACM Chapter Officially Chartered

We're excited to announce that the Charlotte ACM Chapter has been officially chartered by the Association for Computing Machinery. Our chapter (Group ID: 208225) was approved on February 17, 2026, making us one of the newest ACM professional chapters in the country.

The founding officers are Rohit Nimmala (Chair), Viswanathan Ranganathan (Vice Chair), and Siva Rama K Varma Bayyavarapu (Treasurer). We're based in Charlotte, NC, but open to computing professionals, students, and enthusiasts everywhere.
