He has authored 30 peer-reviewed papers and serves on editorial boards for six journals, including Elsevier's Engineering Applications of AI and IEEE Access. He's a BCS Fellow, IEEE Senior Member, and SCRS Distinguished Fellow. Rohit has delivered keynotes at conferences in the US, Netherlands, Indonesia, Malaysia, Bahrain, and the UAE, and has judged over 100 tech awards including the Global Business Tech Awards and CES Innovation Awards. Vivek Venkatesan is a Lead Data Engineer at The Vanguard Group with over 16 years of experience in data engineering, cloud analytics, enterprise data platforms, and AI/ML data infrastructure across financial services and healthcare. His work focuses on building scalable, reliable, and cost-conscious data systems that support analytics, automation, and responsible AI adoption. Vivek is an IEEE Senior Member, Fellow of the British Computer Society, and an active contributor to the technology community through research, mentoring, peer review, and professional service. His recent interests include AI-augmented data engineering, privacy-preserving healthcare AI, federated learning, explainable AI, serverless architectures, and cloud-native data platforms. As Secretary of the Charlotte ACM Chapter, Vivek looks forward to supporting the chapter’s mission by strengthening member engagement, helping organize knowledge-sharing initiatives, and creating an inclusive space for professionals, students, and researchers interested in computing, data, and emerging technologies.

During her time at North Carolina State University, she spent two years in research developing reusable biomedical devices.
